Alacoque trained at Liverpool School of Art (BA Hons Fine Art) and Belfast School of Art (MA Applied Art).

Her work is driven by a commitment to process and the materiality of clay, paint, print, paper and plaster.

Mixed media works are primarily concerned with the play between positive and negative space and the notion of absence.

Currently her practice has returned to her love of clay, using the rhythm and simplicity of hand-building functional ceramics as an act of resistance and love.
